Get ready for an explosion of freshness and flavor on this fruit tour of Pereira! Visit a local market in the coffee capital of Colombia, and experience the diversity and richness of tropical fruits.
We'll meet at the indicated time in front of the Movich Hotel and hop into a vehicle headed towards a typical market in Pereira. Ready to uncover the traditions behind essential tropical fruits in Colombian cuisine?
Upon arrival at the market, we'll be greeted by an eye-catching spectacle of colors and aromas. Here, we'll begin our sensory journey, with the opportunity to taste up to 15 types of unique and native fruits.
Let yourself be enveloped by the sweetness of the granadilla as we savor the juicy pulp enveloping its small seeds. Don't miss out on tasting the textured skin and orange flesh of the sapote either, a refreshing delight that's a perfect example of tropical paradise!
The chontaduro, mangosteen, blackberries and tree tomato will make you want more with every bite. Plus, we'll sample pineapple and the famous passion fruit! While savoring its flavor, we'll learn about its aphrodisiac properties that add a magical touch to this fruit.
Discover the soursop, a unique fruit with a rough exterior and soft, creamy pulp inside. Enjoy its delicate flavor and finish the experience with a refreshing glass of natural soursop juice!
Finally, we'll return to the meeting point, where we'll say goodbye after a total of 3 hours together.
